German gang chief collared

Austrian police have arrested a man accused of masterminding a German crime syndicate.The 48-year-old was put in detention after travelling on a train from Munich to the Upper Austrian capital of Linz where he was put in detention.German police issued an international arrest warrant on the suspected head of a group of criminals specialised in burglary and theft earlier this year. Linz police said today (Weds) the criminal will be extradited to his homeland within the coming days.Meanwhile, a Slovakian duo suspected of stealing clothing, money and valuables from homes and stores in eastern Austria were caught in Kittsee, Burgenland.
