Vienna hotly tipped as Madonna reveals gym plans

Vienna may be among the European cities pop star Madonna is eyeing up as locations for her fitness centres.The award-winning singer’s management announced recently that she had plans to open 10 gyms in Brazil, Argentina, Asia and Europe. The branch will be called The Hard Candy Fitness Centers after her 2008 album “Hard Candy” which hit number one in several countries including Austria.A spokesman for the 52-year-old star said the fitness centres “will merge fitness with entertainment”, adding that they will provide private yoga and kick-boxing training sessions.Madonna will open the new chain’s first centre in Mexican capitol Mexico City on 29 November. Her management has, however, remained tight-lipped on which other cities the singer was considering as locations.Rumour has it Berlin, London and Vienna are in the running. The Austrian capital is being given good chances by showbiz magazines since Madonna’s toyboy Jesus Luz praised Vienna as a “fantastic city” after having performed a DJ set at the Volkgarten night club in June.The Brazilian model told Austrian newspapers he would love to come back to Vienna “with my family” as he had fallen in love with its architecture and sights.
