Driver escapes severe accident almost unharmed

A motorist got away with minor injuries when he crashed against a tree yesterday afternoon (Thurs).The 34-year-old came off a street near Sieghartskirchen in Lower Austria’s Tulln district before ploughing into a roadside tree. His car was wrecked in the accident. The man was hospitalised with slight injuries. The motorist was not drunk, but police assume he was speeding.Meanwhile, a 20-year-old motorcyclist sustained multiple injuries when he crashed into an oncoming minivan at excessive speed in Vienna on Tuesday.
