Austrian pensioner cruises around old age home in Germany for hours

A confused elderly man tried to find his way home in a German town almost 400 kilometres from his Austrian hometown, it has been reported.Newspapers in Bavaria reported yesterday (Mon) that the 81-year-old from Vienna had wandered around a retirement home in Breitbrunn at the Ammer Lake for more than three hours on Saturday before an employee of the institution called the police.The driver told policemen he was looking for his house. “He was convinced that he was in Vienna,” one officer said.The pensioner was eventually convinced to stop his search. He was transferred to Vienna where his daughter had reported him as missing on Friday.
