Theft of costly sound system reported rather late

Bungling event managers reported a pricey sound system as stolen – several weeks after the theft probably happened.Police in Lower Austria said today (Weds) organisers of a party realised the 23,000-Euro high-end sound appliance had been nicked after they used the rented device at an after-race party last month.Managers of the event said the sound system was hired to host a disco party in a giant party tent after the Women’s World cup slalom at the Semmering Mountain on 29 December.Police, who started investigations, said the businesspeople argued they reported the device as missing with some delay as they failed to track it down within their affiliated companies.
