Woman ‘scrambled about’ before fatal fall

A man has been arrested after claiming that his girlfriend “was clambering about” in their flat in front of the window before she plunged to her death.The 29-year-old woman died before an ambulance arrived at the housing estate in Vienna-Landstraße yesterday evening (Tues).Her boyfriend, 24, told police he had been drinking with her in their third-floor apartment before she fell out of the window. The man claimed she had been “scrambling about” near the windowsill. He was put in custody as investigations continue.A police official said investigators are neither ruling out that the incident was a tragic accident nor that it was murder.
