Passenger almost unharmed after getting off rolling train

A 53-year-old man from Tyrol had to be hospitalised after he got injured trying to exit a departing train.The passenger opened the door of the EuroCity express train moments after it left the main station in Linz on Sunday evening. The Innsbruck resident was thrown on the tracks, but escaped with minor injuries as the train was still going at little speed.A spokesman for Austrian Railways (ÖBB) explained today (Weds) the company assumed the man may have missed the station he planned to leave the train which started in Zurich, Switzerland, and was bound for Vienna.ÖBB is understood to consider changing its safety precautions as the firm official confirmed it was possible to open train doors regularly while they were going at low speed.
