Elderly man caught driving without licence four times

A pensioner has been arrested after being caught driving without a licence for the fourth time in as many months.The 64-year-old resident of Salzburg sped off when police asked him to pull over in a routine traffic check near the town of Hof yesterday (Weds). The man was caught after a wild street chase minutes later.Officers found out that he had already been fined three times for driving without a licence recently.The man was put in custody as prosecutors have started to look into the case to decide whether to press charges.The incident happened one day after a 85-year-old Frenchman was caught fuelling his car without paying and stealing from a shop in Rannersdorf, Lower Austria.The tourist was freed from custody after admitting his wrongdoings. He was made to pay an undisclosed fine before being allowed to continue his journey to Hungary.
