Monovular triplets born in Klagenfurt

A Carinthian woman has given birth to monovular triplets, it has emerged.Doctors at the Klinikum Klagenfurt hospital said today (Weds) the overjoyed mum and her girls were doing fine after last Friday’s birth. They stressed that the chances of give birth to single egg triplets was one in 200 million.A spokesman for the clinic said the babies were born via caesarean in the 33rd week of pregnancy, adding that they weighed between 1,500 and 1,700 grams. He said the woman, 30, and her babies will be discharged later this week.The hospital official also stressed that the woman appealed to doctors to block any requests for interviews and photo shootings.This extraordinary birth follows quadruplet girls seeing the light of day at a Wels clinic last week in the 24th week of pregnancy.
