Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter to attend Vienna fashion event

British model Kiera Sunshine Chaplin will attend the event on 15 March at Vienna’s Museum Quarter at which the Vienna Awards for Fashion & Lifestyle will be announced, it emerged yesterday (Weds).Chaplin, the granddaughter of late actor Charlie Chaplin, will receive a Special Lifestyle Icon award at the event.Marjan Firouz, who is handling public relations for the event, said: “Many of the nominees are working successfully in the world’s international fashion metropolises. With the Vienna Awards, we are offering a stage for Viennese fashion creations.”Prizes will be awarded in 12 categories: Stylist, Hair Stylist, Make-up Artist, Fashion Photographer, Fashion and Lifestyle Journalist, Designer Branding, Tribute to Fashion & Lifestyle (Label), Accessories Designer, WKO Special Award “Go International”, Model, Designer of the Year and the Special Lifestyle Icon award that Chaplin will receive.Thomas Kirchgrabner, who has been chief designer at Liska in Vienna since 2007, is said to be the favourite for a Fashion Creator of the Year award.Chaplin, who lives in New York, will spend four days in Vienna and pose for several Austrian fashion magazines.The event will begin at 8:45pm, with admission by invitation only beginning at 7pm.For more information, see www.vienna-awards.at
