‘Rowdy’ sheep face eviction

A herd of sheep faces eviction after its shepherd has refused to relocate them after his agreement with a Vienna University has come to an end, it has been reported.Richard Krampl’s 23 East Friesians have been grazing on an estate owned by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna-Floridsdorf for more than five years.The agricultural entrepreneur was allowed to keep his herd on the pasture as part of a scientific experiment conducted by the BOKU.Now university officials said they are considering issuing an eviction notice as the project has come to an end. The experiment’s tests were meant to reveal the affects had on the flora by the sheep.Reports have it that project leaders were also angered by a string of attacks by sheep against students.Krampl and BOKU bosses have met several times during the past few months to come to an agreement, but to no avail.
