An Octoberfest of another type is happening in Hintertux in Tyrol from the 28th September with the traditional cow parade taking centre stage.

The reason for the great event in Hintertux is the closing of the Alpine pastures in Tyrol for the year. Cows from the local area get decorated for the purpose and driven into the valley.

The Austrian band “Junge Paldauer” entertains the crowed for the opening of the event.

A farmers market can be explored with its local delicacies on Saturday followed by a performance of the “Zillertaler Mander” and “Die Pfundskerle”.

The “Klausnerhof” hotel which lies 1,500 meters high provides guest coming to see the mega event with attractive offers.

Breakfast and lunch buffet inclusive a five-course dinner are part of the special “Octoberfest” deal.
