Traffic jam sidelines Maierhofer

A massive traffic jam kept Stefan Maierhofer from debuting for his new club yesterday (Tues).The 202-centimetre-tall striker arrived too late to join his MSV Duisburg teammates in the friendly against Cypriot side EN Paralimni in Windischgarsten, Upper Austria. The German second league team won the match 5-1. Both clubs are currently preparing in Austria for upcoming challenges.It was announced only yesterday that Maierhofer had joined MSV Duisburg, who finished the past season in sixth, on loan from English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers where he failed to make an impact.The ex-Rapid Vienna star is set to perform for his new club for the first time in a test match against German top-flight side 1.
