‘Wild rumours’ over young diplomat’s death
Viennese media have claimed there is much speculation surrounding the death of an ambassador at the age of just 42.Fuad Ismayilov – the Azerbaijani ambassador to Austria – died of cardiac failure, according to an official statement. His body will be transferred to Baku, the federal capital of the Eurasian country to be buried, according to News.az.The Kronen Zeitung, an Austrian newspaper, reported today (Thurs) that the diplomat may have suffered from a cardiac disease for years. The daily paper also claims that the Austrian polices department for the protection of the constitution and the fight against terrorism was informed “immediately”, adding that “wild rumours” have been spreading about Ismayilovs death.Ismayilov has been his home countrys ambassador to Austria as well as bordering countries Slovakia and Slovenia since 2005.
