Cool down for Vienna heat at summer ice skating sessions

From now on you can ice-skate even in Summer.

The Wiener Stadthalle is offering an ice-skating area of 1.800 square metres, open every Tuesday throughout the summer.

Today is a special ice skating event – the Stadhalle ice rink will open until 11:00 pm as part of the “Long Night of Summer Ice-Skating”.

Winter clothes are not needed. The temperature averages 17 degrees, so you can even ice-skate in shorts and shirts.

According to the organiser of the weekly event, around 100 people surge into the Wiener Stadthalle every week.

They are open every Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 7:45 pm. The entrance tickets for the event cost 6.50 Euro for adults and 2.50 Euro for children. Ice-skates can be rented as well.

Today they extend their opening hours – they are open until 11:00 pm due to the “Long Night of Summer Ice-Skating”.
