A reality show in Austria is pitting Russian pop stars against each other in a contest to pick up traditional Alpine skills like yodeling, schnapps drinking and thigh-slapping mountain dancing wearing lederhosen and dirndl dresses.
Contestants include the singer dubbed the Russian Beyonce, Kornelia Mango and is being filmed at during an intensive three-day course into Austrian culture and traditions in Salzburg.
While on location at Hinterglemm the Russian visitors had to show their prowess at traditional Alpine pass times including skiing – eating local dumplings and knocking back the local schnapps at the Sternbraue Gasthaus.
Afterwards they were forced to dress up in traditional Austrian lederhosen and dirndls and practice the walz.
Russian male singers Aleksandr Kireev and Mitya Fomin and female singer Irina Ortmann were also asked to show their yodelling skills. Comedian Pasha Serduyk and MTV- presenter DVJ Archi were also on hand to take part.
The clothes were designed by Antonina Shapovalova and Masha Tsigal.
Moscow stylist Alexand Todchuk who accompanied the stars to make sure they look to their best also managed to enjoy a dance with Margot Wisiak.
