Austrian vacationers chased off by royal honeymoon beach bouncers

An Austrian couple travelling the Indian Ocean on a self-built catamaran have revealed they were chased away from a beach by security personnel of Britain’s new royal couple.Martin Ernstbrunner told Vienna newspaper Heute he and his girlfriend Tracy wanted to berth the apparently deserted island when a group of men asked them to leave again.The 36-year-old from Bad Fischau in Lower Austria said today (Fri) the security agents were assigned by Prince William and Kate Middleton who are currently spending their honeymoon on the Seychelles.Ernstbrunner explained he and his girlfriend happened to moor on the small island on the very day William and Kate stayed there overnight after booking it for their own use for an estimated 50,000 Euros.Prince William married his long-time girlfriend last month. Around 1.9 million Austrians watched national broadcaster ORF’s seven-hour live broadcast the run-up to the wedding and the ceremony itself while tens of thousands more opted for international channels’ coverage.Emil Brix, the Austrian ambassador in London, recently revealed  plans to invite the couple to next year’s Vienna State Opera Ball and the upcoming New Year’s concert by the Vienna Philharmonic.
