Emergency helicopter forced to make emergency landing

An emergency helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing whilst out on a call out after one of the rotor blades struck a stone.

The Christopherus 8 helicopter made the emergency landing in Montafon, Vorarlberg.

Head of the ÖAMTC Helicopter fleet claimed a gust of wind was responsible for the occurrence but investigations are continuing.

Nobody was injured as a result. A replacement helicopter was sent to the emergency rescue.

Christopherus 8 has now been repaired and is back in action.
