Stormy weather causes havoc in Austria
Heavy storms followed a weekend of record breaking temperatures throughout Austria on Sunday evening.
Large parts of the country were affected as thunder storms, heavy hail and rain swept through Austria.
In Tirol large numbers of trees fell onto roads due to heavy winds, power lines were brought down leaving some households without power.
Salzburg was also badly affected – 43 fire services and 830 helpers were called out in the province to more than 100 emergencies.
Two swimmers had to be rescued by boat from Fuschlsee and Wolfgangsee caught out by the sudden storm.

Once again record temperatures are due this coming week – with temperatures on Thursday due to reach 40 degrees.
