Wheelchair-bound man plunges into river

A man confined to his wheelchair fell into a creek trying to avoid colliding with an oncoming cyclist.

The 41-year-old man was dragged out of the water by witnesses of the incident yesterday (Weds), police in Niederndorf in Tyrol said today.

Officials did not say anything about the severity of his injuries. The man – who was in an electric wheelchair – was airlifted to a hospital in Kufstein.
