Jogger in clinic after driver nods off

An elderly driver hit a jogger after falling asleep behind the wheel, it was reported today (Mon).Police in Afiesl, Upper Austria, said that the 73-year-old did not sustain any injuries in the incident which occurred yesterday evening. The 24-year-old hobby athlete had to be hospitalised after he was hit by the vehicle. He landed in a roadside meadow.The pensioner could face charges. The man was not drink-driving, a breathalyser test has shown.Meanwhile, seven parked vehicles were damaged when a 40-year-old woman lost control over her car for unclear reasons in Vienna.
