Knifing puts Algerians in clinic

Two people were hospitalised with stabbing wounds in Vienna-Leopoldstadt yesterday evening (Thurs).Police announced today that two Algerian men aged 21 and 33 were transferred to a hospital after an argument on the street got out of control. Enquiries should reveal the reason for the fight, they said, adding that neither of the counterparts were found to be under the influence of alcohol.Meanwhile, an unidentified person turned a gun on himself after seriously injuring another man in Vienna-Donaustadt this afternoon. Police are expected to give more information on the incident this evening.
