Pressure to perform strains young Austrians

Many young Austrians feel a strong pressure in school or at work, a survey has revealed.Pollsters GfK Austria said 40 per cent of Austrians aged between 12 and 24 claimed being confronted with an “immense pressure to perform” in school or at work.Around a third of those polled also said their financial situation causes them worry, while 39 per cent named problems within the family.GfK Austria found out earlier this year that eight out of 10 Austrians aged 15 and older describe themselves as optimistic.
