Vienna police make record child-porn haul
Police have reported the biggest seizure of child-pornographic material ever made in Austria.Federal Crime Office (BK) investigators announced a 53-year-old Vienna resident is in custody after officers found more than one million underage porn images at his home.Investigator Jürgen Ungerböck said today (Fri): “The man lived in an extremely dirty flat. He probably had little contact with the outside world.”Ungerböck explained colleagues searched the mans apartment after his Thai girlfriend claimed he had abused their children.The suspect denied having molested the girls aged five and six, but admitted “interest” in child pornography.Police found more than one million child-porn pictures on his computer as well as thousands of DVDs.Ungerböck said: “The man told us he wanted some variety when we asked him about the vast amount of prohibited material.”
