Banca Transilvania eyes WBAG move

Romanian bank Banca Transilvania has plans to get listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange (WBAG), online newspaper Romanian Times has reported.The news platform reports today (Fri) that the possible move will be discussed at a shareholders’ meeting on 28 April.The institute has been traded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange since 1997.The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) holds an interest of 14.45 per cent in Banca Transilvania, while Bank of Cyprus has one of 9.7 per cent.Horia Ciorcila, head of the country’s Administration Council, holds five per cent, with several other minor shareholders.
