XXXLutz ‘eyes Croatian properties’

Furniture megastore chain XXXLutz is considering taking over commercial sites in Croatia, according to local press.The Croatian Times reports today (Thurs) that the Upper Austrian firm with headquarters in Wels was one of possible buyers of estate in the cities of Zagreb, Rijeka, Osijek and Pula owned by broke firm Pevec.Darko Sketa, who handles the company’s bankruptcy proceedings, said creditors claim an overall 225.4 million Euros. He added the property set to be sold was worth around 180 million Euros.XXXLutz has around 17,000 employees. It runs stores in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia and in the Czech Republic.
