Alpine gets €30mn Serbian ‘Pan-European Corridor’ order

Alpine Bau GmbH is to build two motorway sections and seven bridges in Serbia as part of the Pan-European Corridor project.Alpine will build a 5.8-kilometre bypass around the city of Dimitrovgrad and another motorway section of 8.6 kilometres towards Bulgaria.The Salzburg-based construction company is also set to construct seven bridges in the country.Officials said today (Thurs) the project’s order volume was around 30 million Euros. The World Bank is financing the assignment.Yesterday’s laying of the foundation stone near Dimitrovgrad was attended by Serbian Infrastructure Minister Milutin Mrkonjic, Slavica Dukic-Dejanovic, the president of the country’s federal parliament, and by Alpine supervisory board chief Dietmar Aluta-Oltyan.
