Pages Jaunes snatches 123people

An internet search engine co-founded by an Austrian company has been sold to French yellow pages firm Pages Jaunes, it was announced today (Weds).Vienna-based firm i5invest and international enterprise GCP gamma capital partners, which has an office in the Austrian capital, founded 123people two years ago.The companies have remained tight-lipped about price, while German business and media platform Heise.de claimed Pages Jaunes might have paid between 10 and 15 million Euros.GCP gamma capital partners official Klaus Matzka said: “The takeover by Pages Jaunes is a victory for all stakeholders. The number of jobs in Austria will increase.”Matzka added that 123people had more than 40 million visitors every month.
