Son who called help may have killed dad

A Lower Austrian who called help for his injured father could have killed the man, according to police.Officials in Schwechat near Vienna said today (Thurs) the 48-year-old was put in custody after ringing up the local police department this morning. The man asked officers to send an ambulance as his 78-year-old dad was “seriously wounded”.Paramedics failed to resuscitate the pensioner. His son was put in custody after admitting to policeman he murdered the man. The suspect claimed he was in an “psychic state of emergency”, explaining that he has been suffering from tinnitus for eight years. He also said his condition has kept him from taking on work since 2006.Meanwhile, police officers in Vienna are investigating after Valmir L., 18, was stabbed to death on Monday night in a street in the district of Simmering.The trainee, whose family comes from Albania, bled to death from 10 stabbing wounds. Witnesses said two people ran away after attacking the young man.The Simmering stabbing was the first murder in Austria this year.
