Landing InterSky plane touches power line
InterSky bosses have said their technicians will cooperate with Italian officials to investigate an incident that had occurred during the landing of one of their jets on the island of Elba.No one was injured when a Dash 8-300 propeller plane coming from Zurich, Switzerland, touched a power supply line as it was landing on Saturday evening.InterSky chief Claus Bernatzik said yesterday (Sun): “Out team of technicians will liaise with local investigators to clarify what led to the incident.”Bernatzik added that it could not be ruled out that pilot error had caused the airplane to touch the power line.Bregenz-based InterSky said last week they were interested in cooperating with Styrian budget carrier Robin Hood.”Graz Airport is an interesting base. We hope for a decision in June,” a spokesman for InterSky said.Robin Hood filed for bankruptcy last month, but firm chief Georg Pommer said the plan was to continue doing business. He said at the time that he was optimistic about making a profit by June if passenger numbers remained stable.
