Andreas Haider-Maurer has lost his first-round match at the French Open.

The Austrian Davis Cup star was defeated by Australian Bernard Tomic in three sets (6-7, 3-6, 3-6).

Jürgen Melzer, Austria’s number one in world tennis, lost against Michael Berrer from Germany in five sets (7-6, 6-4, 2-6, 2-6, 3-6).
