Free end of season skiing at Semmering
Spring may have arrived in force in Vienna but in the mountains winter still rules and skiing is still very much on the agenda.
This Easter ski lovers in the capital can not only enjoy skiing at three different locations – there is also the chance to do it for free after the austrian times obtained dozens of free passes from the VIP ski resort at Semmering – just an hour’s drive from the city.
We are looking for readers to log into our Facebook page and like what we do there – and we will then be sending the lucky winners five day tickets each for Semmering that can be used any time between now and the end of the season.
Simply go here and here and check out our two Facebook pages – as soon as you’ve clicked ‘like’ you’ll be automatically entered and contacted by Thursday if you are one of the lucky winners.
But we will also be offering other great prizes to our Facebook followers on a weekly basis, so if you want to take part, it’s only one click away.
As well as Semmering which is the nearest of the lower Austrian ski resorts and by far the closest to Vienna there is also the opportunity over Easter to go skiing at Hochkar and on the Oetscher with all three offering discounts to guests.
At Semmering there are special discounts for OAPs, students and singles. The list will be open until Monday or as long as there is plenty of snow still on the piste.
On the Ötscher both of the four person chairlifts are still in operation and there is currently around about 120 centimetres of snow.
The Hochkar which is further away from Vienna but has the best snow so far has around 180 centimetres of natural snow and most of the nine lifts are still in operation and probably will be until 22 April.
