Austrian victories in EBEL semi final

Austria’s EBEL Hockey League semi final contenders celebrated victories last night (Tues).

Carinthian team KAC crushed Zagreb in the first match of the best of seven series. The championship record holders won the clash 4-0 away from home. Several players engaged in a fistfight in the second quarter of the match.

Black Wings Linz – who knocked out Vienna Capitals in the quarter final – beat Ljubljana 4-2. The semi final series will continue tomorrow before the competing teams face each other again on 11 March.
