No Rapid progress as Ried march on

Rapid Vienna’s bid to win the league a 33rd time has suffered a further setback.The team of Peter Pacult is already nine points behind leaders SV Ried after failing to beat title holders Red Bull Salzburg yesterday (Sun). Ex-Rapid striker Roman Wallner found the net for the Bulls in the 35th minute before Rapid defender Ragnvald Soma equalised the score 20 minutes before the end.Ried celebrated a comfortable 2-0 win against struggling LASK Linz on Saturday, while Austria Vienna crushed Magna Wiener Neustadt 4-0.
