Worker killed by street roller

A road worker was killed in an accident on a building site in Semriach near Graz, Austria.

The 32-year-old worker from Slovakia was driving a street roller when fell down an embankment.

Colleagues who heard his screams ran to his aid but he had been decapitated in the accident.

The worker was supposed to have been working on a building site chopping wood for excavation work.

But instead was driving the street roller, which he was not authorized to do, he lost balance on the machine and fell complete with the street roller ten metres down the embankment. The street roller landed on top of him.
