Driver escapes robbers in Tyrolean Alps

A young milk delivery man has claimed a masked duo tried to chain him to a level crossing barrier.

The 21-year-old Tyrolean told police in the province’s Ziller Valley he was attacked by the two criminals in Stummerberg yesterday evening (Thurs). The man explained he hid in nearby woodland after having managed to escape. He was not injured.

Police officials announced they are investigating. None of the money kept in the lorry was taken in the reported incident.
