Thief punches policemen

A 36-year-old man has been put in custody for attacking two policemen yesterday evening (Thurs).

The officers chased the man after being told by another man that he stole his mobile. The fleeing criminal punched and kicked the police officers when they caught up with him.

The policemen returned the expensive smartphone to its owner after having managed to overpower the aggressive thief, police in Vienna-Mariahilf said today.
