Climbing guide killed in cliff fall
Police have started investigating the death of an experienced climber.The 32-year-old man guided a four-member group in an Alpine adventure park in the Styrian district of Liezen when he plunged 100 metres to the ground yesterday (Tues). He most likely died on the spot, according to officials who are now trying to find out whether the man failed to secure himself properly. Investigators refused to rule out human error and technical malfunctions of the killed mans equipment as causes for the fatality today.The four holidaymakers were airlifted to safety by local mountain rescuers by helicopter. None of them were injured in the incident.
