Rotten corpse found in flat

Police are investigating after finding a decayed corpse in an apartment on Saturday.The body was discovered after a police station in Vienna received an e-mail saying: “Please take care of my mother’s body.”Johanna B. from Pforzheim in Germany was found lying under a blanket in an apartment in Vienna-Brigittenau. Investigators discovered forged documents in the flat giving her name as Christa Baumann.Police assume that the official tenant of the apartment – a German woman aged 48 – had allowed her mother to stay there so she had a place to hide from her ex-husband and authorities in her homeland. The woman, whose whereabouts are unknown, was reportedly entangled in a feud about custody of their son.
