Teen robber caught after CCTV footage release

A teenage drug addict has been arrested after he forced a man to get off a train, withdraw money from a hole in the wall and hand it over.Nemanja P., 17, was tracked down after police published CCTV footage of the incident which occurred on 25 January.The young man approached his 26-year-old victim on a train at Handelskai station. He asked the man to hand over his watch and cash. The offender then told his victim to get out at Wien-Mitte with him to get more money from his bank account at a cash machine. The frightened man reportedly asked other passengers for help but no one dared to interfere.The teenager has confirmed that he is the person caught on camera. He told police that financial difficulties caused by his drug addiction led him to rob someone. A police spokesman said the teenager was arrested in a flat he shared with his parents in the Donaustadt district. He is now in prison custody awaiting charges.
