Police take man’s 27 dogs
Police raided a house after an anonymous local reported its owner for keeping 27 dogs in poor conditions.Officials in Bruck an der Leitha, Lower Austria, said today (Weds) the animals were well-nourished, but added that the conditions they were kept in were rated as inappropriate by animal experts from a nearby dog shelter.Authorities are now looking for new owners for the canines.Earlier this month, police and animal activists found 43 adult dogs, six puppies and one dead canine at a 36-year-old womans property in Kienings near Krems.Officials who were informed by worried neighbours said the property was badly polluted with dog faeces, adding that it seemed the animals had not been given any fresh food or water for some time.
