Dead retirement home resident may be crime victim

Murder investigations have been launched over the death of an old people’s home resident. The 82-year-old pensioner died four days after being brought to the LKH clinic in Graz  last May. It was reported that he had strangulation marks around his neck when he died.A new medical opinion suggests that the injuries were caused deliberately.Chief investigator Anton Kiesl announced today (Weds) he and his team were not ruling out that another resident of the facility in Weiz, eastern Styria, could have tried to kill the man.”Many senile people are living in such homes. They often don’t know what they are doing,” he said.Kiesl added that several interviews with staff have already been carried out.
