Crushed fizzy drink can causes car crash

A teenage learner driver caused a head-on collision when he got distracted by the sizzling sound of a can of fizzy lemonade in the back of the car.The driver of the oncoming car the 17-year-old ploughed into during his driving lesson in Sierning, Upper Austria, suffered serious injuries in the accident. Fire-fighters had to use bolt cutters to free the 40-year-old woman from her damaged vehicle. She was airlifted to a hospital in Steyr.The boy who caused the crash and his driving instructor got away with a few bruises.The learner driver told police he panicked after hearing a hissing sound coming from the back of the car – which turned out to be a squashed can containing a fizzy drink.
