Missing teenage trio nabbed in Italy

Three Tyrolean pals who went missing at the weekend have been found enjoying themselves at an Italian holiday hotspot.Police in Fieberbrunn said earlier this week they had ruled out a crime after Peter R. and Sandro K., both 14, and Adlan M., 15, disappeared last Sunday after speaking to their parents who stressed there had been no severe conflicts. Now the cunning trio – who deactivated their mobile phones shortly after snatching the Peugeot of Sandro K.’s dad – were arrested in Jesolo at the Italian Adriatic coast where tens of thousands of Austrians spend their summer break every year.Officials said today (Fri) the friends were forced to stay at a local police station and wait for their parents to pick them up.”All three are doing fine,” a spokesman for Jesolo police said, adding that the trio refused to reveal why they had sneaked away secretly. He stressed their parents face traffic charges over the teenagers’ illegal driving.Their worried parents launched a search initiative with self-printed leaflets as well as an appeal on the internet before an Austrian tourist spotted them hanging out in Jesolo.
