Cannabis factory found in Lower Austria

Two Viennese men are facing drug production charges after cops discovered 256 cannabis plants at an estate in Groß-Enzersdorf, Lower Austria.Police said today (Thurs) they had acted on a tip-off, adding it would have been possible to produce drugs worth 16,000 Euros from the confiscated plants.Officials explained the plants were kept at a storage hall and watered automatically with the help of a timer. Two men aged 22 and 27 respectively, who live in Vienna, admitted having started growing the drug at the beginning of this year.Cops said they told them of plans to cover their “high debts” by selling illegal substances.Investigations continue while police, in the meantime, have decided not to put the suspects – who invested around 16,000 in the cannabis growing – in custody.
