Avalanche victim found alive after two hours

An Innsbruck woman survived an avalanche yesterday (Thurs) after heavy, wet snow buried her entire body, leaving only a small air hole for her to breathe through.The woman, 57, was ski touring alone in an area near Arlberg mountain, Tyrol, when she triggered an avalanche at 1pm that dragged her 200 metres and left her lying face up in the snow.With no witnesses, the woman lay buried for two hours before her husband reported her missing after failing to make contact with her.She was eventually spotted by a rescue helicopter team at 4pm.She was flown to a Zams hospital suffering from acute hypothermia and undetermined injuries.
