Fleeing thieves cause car crash

Two Slovak robbers caused a traffic accident on the B9 highway in Lower Austria yesterday (Tues) after robbing a supermarket in Hainburg in Bruck an der Donau district, police said.The Slovaks, aged 23 and 34, drove towards Vienna after stealing items worth 500 Euros at the supermarket.After colliding with another car but finding their car still drivable, the Slovaks kept driving towards Vienna.Police finally stopped and arrested them in Fischamend in Lower Austria’s Wien-Umgebung district. They are in detention in Korneuburg, Lower Austria.Police also arrested three Romanians aged 19, 20 and 25 yesterday in Fischamend. Police found items from supermarkets in their car that they confessed to stealing from a number of stores.Police arrested two of them and gave the third a summons. Police are looking for a fourth member of the gang.
