Badly Drawn Boy Vienna date revealed
Badly Drawn Boy will perform in Vienna later this year, it has been announced.Britishrock.cc reports today (Mon) that the Mercury Prize-awarded singer-songwriter will give a concert at the citys WUK on 16 November.The Bolton-based artist, whose real name is Damon Gough, won critical acclaim with his 2000 studio album “The Hour of Bewilderbeast”. The follow-up called “About a Boy” the original soundtrack to the movie of the same name featuring Hugh Grant reached number six in the UK Album Chart two years later.”Is There Nothing We Could Do?” is Badly Drawn Boys sixth and most recent album. It came out last year.Meanwhile, the management of Public Enemy has announced that the American rap icons will hit the stage at the Hafen in Innsbruck on 5 November.It was also reported that Canadian electronic music icon Peaches will play a DJ set at the Pratersauna club in Vienna on 16 October.Other recently announced live music dates are gigs by US punk rock band Good Charlotte (Gasometer Vienna, 21 January 2011) and Irish hard rock veterans Thin Lizzy (Arena Vienna, 6 February 2011).
