David Cronenberg wants Sigmund Freud movie extras

David Cronenberg has appealed to Austrians with acting ambitions to step forward as he seeks extras for his new film about legendary Austrian neurologist Sigmund Freud.Austrocast agency bosses said today (Thurs) the award-winning Canadian director needed long-haired women, full-bearded men and girls aged between six and 14 to act as extras in upcoming film “A Dangerous Method”. They said those interested should come to their Vienna offices tomorrow between 2pm and 7pm.”A Dangerous Method” will be based on British playwright Christopher Hampton’s play “The Talking Cure”. “Lord of the Rings” star Viggo Mortensen and “King Arthur” star Keira Knightley will take leading roles.Shootings will go underway in Vienna between 30 June and 2 July.Hundreds of film enthusiasts turned up last year to become one of a few dozen extras in “Knight and Day” last year. Several key scenes of the action comedy starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz were shot in Salzburg in December.
