Cohen to croon in Salzburg

Canadian singer Leonard Cohen will return to Austria for a concert in Salzburg this summer, it has been announced.Britishrock.cc reports today (Thurs) that the Montreal-born folk icon will perform at the Salzburgarena on 27 July.The 75-year-old has performed several times at various venues in Austria in the past few years.Cohen has put out records since the 1960s. His most recent studio album dates back to 2004 (“Dear Heather”), while he released two live albums – “Live in London” and “Live at the Isle of Wight 1970” – last year.This announcement comes one day after it emerged that English singer Seal will hit the stage in Klagenfurt later this year. The R&B star – best known for his song “Kiss from a Rose” and his marriage with German model Heidi Klum – will perform at the Seebühne on 7 July.Other upcoming live music highlights are the concert by American country rock band Willie Nelson & Family on 20 June in Vienna and the gig by German hip hop pioneers Die Fantastischen Vier in Graz on 16 November.
